Excellent food and staff. Fave place to go.

I was expecting so much more. I had biscuits and gravy, which was watery and lacked any substance of sausage. Overeasy egg was cooked to nearly hard and the hashbrowns needed more fire.They have a disgusting breakfast buffet that no one seemed to try once we arrived at 10:10am on a Sunday. I just don't see any charm here.

Vehicle broke down on way back from getting another vehicle we didht have till a week n half later and they still let it sit there and when the owner saw us try to take the tire in town n then stopped us n aired up our tire for us so we could just get n go! Thank you so much for your help

Don't park around the restaurant. The owner made me move. He said I couldn't park there. He would not let me park there but yet we let them come over here to America. Crazy. Oh yeah and it's cash only so they they don't have to report the income. They just send all the money to Mexico.

Food is really good. The waiters/waitresses are always really nice, and it's always somewhat quick with the food.

Definitely stop here again!Got 4oz rib eye breakfast (served all day) & think they have me an 8oz by mistake! 😎For truckers: Parking is not huge, strung along US 30, 52 & behind building (it's in a corner of the intersection). But easily got a spot at 2am & relatively quiet for sleeping.Beats the pants off the chain truck stops!!

This place is very popular with truck drivers, farmers and locals alike. Coffee is good, food is fresh homey comfort food. Service was friendly and familiar. I went back & enjoyed it. Good coffee. Lunch, dinner and breakfast all day .

Great home cooked meals

One of those places that if you weren't told where it was, you wouldn't know it's there. After you eat there, though, you're glad not everybody knows because you wouldn't ever get a seat. The service was great. The food is unbelievably well cooked. I'm a huge salt/pepper adder but didn't use an ounce of either. The price actually surprised us. Expected it to cost way more than it did. All in all a great place to grab something to eat.

Had the bbq ribs, baked potato and salad. Wonderful food and service!

Great food everything we ordered was hot and fresh. Would be 5 stars but the food took a little longer than expected. Could have been the time and day as some ordered that day's special.

Plain ol' comfort food... Done right! Tasty meals, HUGE portions and reasonable prices. A staff that's always friendly and attentive. Daily specials are always a bargain. Breakfasts are the strong suit, here...so go early. 😁

Awesome breakfast just outside of Amboy,IL yes they only except cash for their services, it's not a lot of cash needed on hand due to their prices being reasonable and so worth it. Enjoy

I went there with my brother-in-law after church. Nice place to eat at the intersection of 52 and route 30 northeast corner. I find it be a good place to eat if you're in the area

Had their steak and eggs and it was very good I didn't leave hungry

Taking back roads to Iowa and found the restaurant. Good food and friendly employees. Was nice and clean.

great hidden place for food. Nice cozy dinner with great food at great prices. Only drawback is it's cash only. So plan ahead and bring cash.

Love this place! Great cafe food, super, friendly staff...love the owners. We used to eat here on a regular basis as a meeting place, but haven't been back in a few years now & it was just the same...like going home. Have missed our comfort food & that strawberry shortcake!

Always great food at reasonable prices!

Family run place that serves quality food and are very personable with customers. They have an extensive menu which can be tough in areas that aren't heavily populated. Also there are always old people eating there which I was always reminded is a good thing about restaurants because that means the food is good and cheap.
